About Us

John Miller, Dairy Farmer at Millers Dairy

We farm a well established 800 acre dairy and crop operation just outside the village of Creemore, Ontario. The farm is home to Jalon Jerseys, a 100% purebred herd, consisting of 130 milking cow and an equal number of young stock. All feeds consumed by our cattle are grown on our farm with corn, soybeans and wheat sold as cash crops. Along with our own high quality feed, we also acquire the services of a professional nutritionist. We test our feed ingredients regularly for nutritional content which allows our nutritionist to balance the cow’s diet. This keeps the girls healthy and happy. The farm has been in John Miller’s family for five generations and he has been a fluid milk producer for more than fifty years. Our farm and Miller’s Dairy currently employs 14 full-time and part-time staff creating a strong TEAM.

History

In John’s early years, his Mother’s family operated a milk processing business at Goderich, selling fluid milk and later made the change to manufacture ice cream and butter, processing all of their milk on-farm (Bisset Brothers Limited). John was exposed to the processing industry at a young age and continued to hold a lifelong ambition to enter the processing industry. Marie was also raised on a dairy farm, near Cookstown, Ontario. Marie worked on the farm and was involved in 4-H, Junior Farmers, and competitive plowing. We are always excited to see everyone enjoying our fresh Jersey Milk. People want to know where their food comes from and we want to make that personal connection.
